Dr. Gohil completed his undergraduate schooling at Rutgers University New Brunswick and received his Doctorate from Regent University located in Virginia Beach. Dr. Gohil has had extensive training in integrated behavioral healthcare. Through this providential environment Dr. Gohil was able to become well versed and receive specific training in individual therapy in chronic pain, neurocognitive disorders, acute crisis, trauma, substance use, personality disorders, mood disorders, dissociative identity disorder, and severe mental illness. Additionally, Dr. Gohil has been certified in couples therapy (Hope Couples certified) and Christian integration. Furthermore, he has extensive experience in neuropsychological testing, psychological testing, capacity evaluations, surgical evaluations, and forensic evaluations (certified at University of Virginia, Institute of Law, Psychiatry, and Public Policy). Dr. Gohil is a Licensed Psychologist.
Dr. Gohil utilizes the biopsychosocial approach specifically when working with different populations and cultures. He believes it is of the utmost importance to create an alchemy of science and practice while providing care. Specifically, in terms of diverse populations, Dr. Gohil has worked with various celebrities and the unique struggles this population faces to understand one’s art and the triggers or stressors ignited by this mixture. He has completed his study on The Prevalence of Cluster B Traits on the Actor Population.
